2. To enter, visit http://www.opi.com/ellegirl or the ELLEgirl website at http://www.ellegirl.com (the "Web Site") and click on the button marked “ELLEgirl Goes To Washington D.C. /Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde Sweepstakes (the “sweepstakes”), and submit the following information: your name, address (including zip code), age, e-mail address and telephone number. You may enter after 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on July 2, 2003. All entries must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. EST on August 2, 2003. Limit one entry per e-mail address. All entries carry an equal chance of winning.

By entering, you will receive a subscription to ELLEgirl’s Web Site e-mail newsletter (the "Newsletter") unless you have opted out of the use of your entry for purposes other than administration of the sweepstakes. Entries will be used in compliance with the privacy policy located at http://aboutus.hfnm.com/Privacy.asp.

3. Entrants must be legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia and 13 years of age or older as of July 2, 2003. Employees of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S., Inc., publisher of ELLEgirl magazine (the “Sponsor”), OPI, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios Inc. (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter or win.

4. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected from all eligible entries in a random drawing on or about August 27, 2003. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Only one Grand Prize will be awarded.

5. Prizes:

The Grand Prize consists of one (1) double-occupancy, standard hotel room for two for a two-night/three-day stay in Washington D.C., two (2) round-trip Economy Class airline tickets to Washington D.C., from a major gateway airport near winners legal residence. Certain restrictions and black-out dates apply.
Hotel, airline and airports to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Ground transportation, meals, insurance and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner or, if winner is a minor, winner's parent or legal guardian. Winner and travel companion must travel on same itinerary and must be prepared to show any required travel documents including valid photo identification. Any minor must be accompanied by his/her parent or guardian. If winner is a minor, travel companion must be parent or legal guardian of winner. Trip must be taken no later than December 31, 2003. Total approximate retail value (“ARV”): $3,500. ARV may vary based upon location of winner’s residence and departure city.

Second Prizes: There will be twenty-five (25) second prize winners. Each winner will receive one set of Legally Blonde Nail Lacquer and one Legally Blonde VHS (“ARV”): $37.50. Total ARV of all second prizes: $937.50.

Total ARV of all prizes awarded: $4,437.50. All prizes won by a minor will be awarded in the name of winner's parent or legal guardian, and all responsibilities of a minor winner will be assumed by his/her parent or legal guardian. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Any taxes payable on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner or, if winner is a minor, winner's parent or legal guardian. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except Sponsor may substitute prize with one of equal or greater value.

6. Each winner (or if winner is a minor, winner's parent or legal guardian) will be notified by mail or email. Winner (or if winner is a minor, winner’s parent or legal guardian) must comply with instructions contained in the prize notification letter, may be required to complete and return an IRS form W-9, and must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where permitted by law) within 14 days of the date on the prize notification letter, or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner chosen. Winner’s travel companion will be required to sign and return a Liability Release and Publicity Release (where permitted by law). Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If winner is under the age of 21, winner’s parent or legal guardian must sign affidavit and releases on winner’s behalf and must accompany winner on trip; otherwise prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered. Winner’s name will be posted on Web Site and in the Newsletter.

7. By entering and/or accepting the prize, winner and winner’s travel companion (or if either is a minor, their respective parents or legal guardians) release and agree to hold harmless Sponsor and Prize Sponsors from any and all liability for any injuries, claims, loss or damage of any kind, including death, arising in whole or in part from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or participation in this Sweepstakes, including any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer online system, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer, related to or resulting from downloading any part of this contest and/or promotion.

8. Except where prohibited by law, by entering and/or accepting any prize, winner and winner’s travel companion (or if either is a minor, their respective parents or legal guardians) hereby consent to the use by Sponsor of the winner and travel companion’s photograph, voice, likeness and/or image, hometown address, contents of the entry form and the name and age of the winner and travel companion without any further compensation for any future promotional activity related to this sweepstakes.

9. Sponsor is not responsible for any technical problems related to on-line entries, and reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes in the event that it becomes impracticable. In the event this Sweepstakes is terminated early due to technical impairment, a winner will be selected from all eligible on-line entries received at the time of termination.

10. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Sweepstakes or the website.

11. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of the United States with venue in New York County in the State of New York.

12. By entering, you agree (or if you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian) to be bound by these rules. All decisions of the Sponsor are final.

13.
