2 Spooky Nail Art Looks to Replicate this Halloween

Halloween is right around the corner and we can all agree that there is no better time for nail art than this fun festive holiday. We worked with nail artist Hang Nguyen to create two spooky, but modern, nail art looks that you can recreate this Halloween. Grab these classic OPI shades Black Onyx, Alpine Snow and Coca-Cola Red and read below for the steps on how to get this look.

  1. OPI, Blog, Designscape Tutorial, Halloween, Nail Art, Design

    1. Apply OPI Base Coat to each nail.

    2. On the index and pinky nails, paint two coats of Black Onyx

    3. On the remaining nails, use a striping brush and Black Onyx to draw a black diagonal line across the nail, and fill it in as pictured.

    4. Use a striping brush and Black Onyx to draw two triangle shapes above the diagonal to create the ears.

    5. For the thumb with two cats, repeat step 4 and then using a striping brush and Alpine Snow, add another diagonal line perpendicular to the black cat and fill it in. Add one ear using Black Onyx, trace an oval shape for both eyes. Then draw a straight line in the oval shape to complete eyes on the white cat.

    6. On the black cats use white to make the oval shape of the eyes and draw a black or red line in the middle of it to complete the eyes.

    7. On some of the cats you can choose to draw a nose or whiskers to add variety in the look of each cat.

    8. If choosing to have a cat with nose, use Coca Cola Red and draw an upside down triangle just underneath and to the middle of the eyes.

    9. If adding whiskers, just draw straight lines from nose out Black Onyx

    10. Let dry and apply OPI Top Coat to each nail.

  2. OPI, Blog, Designscape Tutorial, Halloween, Nail Art, Design

    1. Apply OPI Base Coat to each nail.

    2. Use Coca Cola Red to draw a half moon shape near the top of the nail and fill in. Repeat on all nails

    3. Use Black Onyx to draw an oval shape in the middle of the red half moons. Repeat on the nails.

    4. Use Alpine Snow to draw the fangs and two middle teeth on the black part of the mouth. Repeat on the other nails.

    5. Use Black Onyx to trace the outline of the teeth so it looks more defined. Repeat on the other nails.

    6. Let dry and apply OPI Top Coat to each nail.
