A neutral color palate is one of my favorites. As my style is usually pretty confined to black and white, I opt for nude shades when I want to take on a bit of “color.” From head to toe, I like to mix and match with different shades of beige—from Karen Walker tortoise sunglasses, to a blush top to khaki pants. It breaks up the look from appearing “naked” or worse…boring.

And no neutrals look would be complete without a manicure to go with it. Nude nails have always been my go-to at the nail salon. Not only does it elongate your hands, but compliments any outfit. So on a lazy Sunday in New York City, I headed down to Primp and Polish for my weekly manicure.

I usually get a nude manicure with classic OPI polish, but this time I tried out Can't Stop Myself from OPI’s Infinite Shine lacquer collection, which I’ve been meaning to try for some time. The Infinite Shine lacquer is somewhere between GelColor and regular polish. It’s a simple three-step system. First comes the primer, then the laquer, and then the gloss.

I loved the color, but that was no surprise. What really impressed me was how long it wore on my nails. They lasted two weeks in their solid, un-cracked glory—while classic polishes barely make it past a couple of days.

I can kiss nail damage goodbye, because OPI’s Infinite Shine is basically a gel manicure without the light. Goldilocks has found her perfect polish! Infinite Shine all the way, baby.
