Designscape Tutorial: 4th of July Abstract Stripes
When it comes to the 4th of July, you're likely drawn to more a classic look when it comes to your nail art. This year, why not spice it up with something a little mroe abstract? Queue this look from OPI Professional Maria Vlezko who you probably follow on Instagram @so_nailicious. She uses patriotic hues of reds and blues, but mixes in a gold foil accent that will really stand out on this festive day.
Apply OPI Infinite Shine Primer. Apply 2-3 coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Let dry.
Use OPI Indignantly Inigo and paint one bright blue brush stroke on each nail (as pictured). To get the uneven edges, first pat the brush on a pice of paper to remove excess lacquer. When the brush is almost "dry" place it on a nail and make one quick but firm stroke.
Use the same technique and OPI Unequivocally Crimson to paint a red stroke on all nails as pictured.
Using tweezers, apply gold foil in random areas over the strokes. You may use the foil to cover the imperfect areas of your strokes. Finish by apply 2-3 coasts of Infinite Shine Top Coat.
