'Tis the Season for Holiday Nail Art

We’re well into December which means holiday season is here, and near. Between party planning, shopping for gifts, and getting your outfits ready for all the best festivities, one thing you can’t forget is your nails! And, what’s a good manicure this time of year without some festive nail art? Let me tell you: nothing. This holiday season, why not go all out and plan your nail art looks like you would you parties?

Below, we share two nail art looks that you can do at home (with some practice of course) or bring to your favorite OPI professional to recreate in the salon. All looks are using gorgeous shades from the new LOVE OPI XOXO holiday collection.

  1. OPI, Blog, HolidayNailArt, Santas Aca-ming To Town, LoveOPIXOXO

Some of the best things about the holidays are the same color red as this pretty new shade ‘Sending You Holiday Hugs’ - cranberry sauce, poinsettias, Santa Clause, Rudolph’s nose….and so on. Add it into a cool basket weaving technique and this nail art look is ready for the holidays!

  2. OPI, Blog, Holiday, Love OPI, XOXO, Holiday Collection, Nail Art, Santa's Aca-ming to Town

Step 1: Apply OPI Natural Nail Base Coat. Apply one coat of ‘Snow Glad I Met You.’ Use a fine liner brush and ‘Top the Package with a Beau’ to draw one diagonal line from the bottom right side of the nail, to the middle left side.

Step 2: Use a fine liner brush and ‘Sending You Holiday Hugs’ to draw a diagonal line from the bottom left to the top right side.

Step 3: Use a fine liner brush and ‘Snow Glad I Met You’ to draw a diagonal line from the right forner to the top left of the nail.

Step 4: Repeat the above steps, alternating lacquers and directions to complete the fishtail look. Once dry, finish with OPI Top Coat.

  3. OPI, Blog, Holiday, Love OPI, XOXO, Holiday Collection, Nail Art, Wrap Up The Beat Box

This look would be gorgeous for either a holiday party or New Year's Eve celebration. The deep purple ‘Wanna Wrap?’ and a sparkly overlay from ‘Ornament to be Together’ make for one gorgeous designscape.

  4. OPI, Blog, Holiday, Love OPI, XOXO, Holiday Collection, Nail Art, Wrap Up The Beat Box

Step 1: Apply Infinite Shine ProStay Prier. Apply two coats of ‘Wanna Wrap?’ Do not dry.

Step 2: While the second coat is still wet, carefully apply four drops of ‘Ornament to be Together’ and ‘Wanna Wrap?’

Step 3: Swirl the drops of ‘Ornament to be Together’ and ‘Wanna Wrap?’ with a fine liner brush to create a dry marble look. Apply one coat of Infinite Shine ProStay Gloss. Let dry.
