2 Nail Art Looks that Create a Holo-daze

It has been a blast celebrating the amazing talent within our community this year – you inspire us in so many ways! As we head into a new year and put a cap on our 40th anniversary, we’re going to celebrate some members of team OPI whose colorful skills inspire us as much as yours.

2 Nail Art Looks that Create a Holo-daze

We’d like you to meet two OPI educators who have been with us through the years – while their day-to-day includes leading innovative education, first and foremost, they’re nail artists.

Past Midnight

Past Midnight

First up, Meet Darlene Sritapan (@nailsbydarlingdarlene), North America’s Education and Capabilities Manager at OPI and rockstar nail artist who has been with us since 2016. In addition to creating educational content and training a team of OPI educators on new products, she loves shaping (preferably, almond) and her linear line work knows no bounds

Using the holographic shades in our holiday Collection, she took her love of line work and created an ombre look that gets the party started. “My favorite nail art look that I created would have to be “Past Midnight.” Ombres can be very intimidating, so I showed one of my favorite techniques for a vertical ombre that is quick and easily done with the bottle brush. Of course, I love line work so I added the French outline.”

Party Red-dy

Next up, meet Sigourney Nuñez (@nailartbysig), our other North American Education Manager and nail art aficionado who has been with OPI for three years. When she’s not working with Darlene to lead education strategy and build an original curriculum, she’s creating minimal and easy - to - DIY nail art on Instagram. You might have seen her looks go viral.

Best known for her asymmetrical swirls and swooshes, she gave our collection her own personal touch. “My favorite nail art look for this collection is Party Red-dy because it’s a beautiful mix that pairs a hint of holo shade with a vibrant cream shade. It also features my signature side swoosh design.”

While Darlene’s look is more advanced, Sigourney’s two-tone design is easy to achieve at home, or quickly recreate for clients.

We can’t wait to see how you adapt these looks using our festive shades, so be sure to show them off using #OPICelebration and tag us @opi and @OPI_Professionals for a chance to be featured!
