Tips for Your Tips: What Shades Look Best with My Skin Tone?

We're in the midst of Fall which means most of us have lost our summer tans and are back to our natural skin tones (unless of course you bathe in self-tanner each week, or escaped to St. Barths). We get asked by fans all the time which of our shades will look best with certain skin tones, so we're excited to share!

Fair Skin

Light Skin Tones

It's true that jewel tones look great on ALL skin tones, but especially for fair and lighter skin tones. A rich shade with blue and red undertones really brings out the pigments in your skin and can brighten you up! Avoid dark or pastel shades.

Light Skin

Light Medium Skin Tones

Both pale lights and bold brights are great shades for those with light-medium skin tones. Find a deep pink-red like In the Cable Carpool Lane with blue undertones that will really bring out the best in lighter skin. For softer shades, try a shimmery white satin like Kyoto Pearl. Avoid darker blues and greens, and golds.

Tan Skin

Medium Skin Tones

For medium to tan skin tones, warm shades can really compliment your complexion. Don't shy away from browns, reds, and pinks - the brighter, the better! Match your tan skin to a rich brown shade like Chocolate Moose to show off your tan. Avoid golds as they can blend in too much with your tan skin and lose their sparkle.

Deep Skin Tones

Both rich, deep shades and vibrant, light shades look great with deeper complexions. Bright oranges, purples, and shimmering pastels all complement your skin tone. Go for shades with yellow, or pink undertones. Avoid shades that are too dark as they can dull your complexion.
