Step by Step

  1. Step 1

    Before You Begin: Prep your lacquer strips: Apply a coat of color followed by a coat of Gloss to wax paper or parchment paper. Allow to dry. Gently peel the lacquer strip from the backing. Cut into various sized triangles. Prep those nails! Follow our OPI Lacquer prep basics.

    Apply one coat of Infinite Shine Primer and allow to dry.

  2. Step 2

    Apply one coat of Infinite Shine Chill 'Em with Kindness. Allow to dry. Repeat for coverage.

  3. Step 3

    Using Infinite Shine Peppermint Bark and Bite apply a diagonal block of color across the nail. Allow to dry. Repeat with Peppermint Bark and Bite on additional fingers varying the placement. Allow to dry.

  4. Step 4

    Apply a thin coat of Primer to one finger at a time and use a tweezer to place dry lacquer triangles into the wet base coat. Gently smoothing and pressing into place. Add additional base coat and triangles to create the desired design. Allow to dry.

  5. Step 5

    Repeat step 3 on remaining nails varying the colors and patterns of the design.

    DIY Tip: To smooth unruly lacquer strips dab a small amount of Chip Skip along any uneven edges to smooth.

  6. Step 6

    The Finishing Touch: Apply a coat of Infinite Shine Gloss and allow to dry. Apply ProSpa Nail & Cuticle Oil to each nail and massage in.
