Gel Nail Polish French Manicure Tutorial

Step by Step
Step 1
First things first, get ready for the french mani by following OPI GelColor prep steps.
Step 2
Shake your GelColor Stay Classic or Stay Strong Base Coat for 1 minute to thoroughly mix. Wipe off any excess from the stem and brush when removing from the bottle.
Step 3
Apply a thin coat down the center of the nail and then to each side leaving a tiny margin around the cuticle. Cap the free edge to prevent shrinkage.
Step 4
Cure for 30 seconds in the OPI STAR LIGHT Gel Lamp.
Step 5
Shake OPI GelColor Put it in Neutral for a minute to thoroughly mix. Wipe excess from the stem and brush when removing from the bottle.
Step 6
Apply a very thin coat to the center of the nail and then to each side leaving a tiny margin around the cuticle. Coverage may look a bit sheer at first. Cap the free edge to prevent shrinkage.
Step 7
Cure each coat for 30 seconds in the OPI STAR LIGHT Gel Lamp.
Step 8
Remove any gel residue with a Nail Wipe saturated with N.A.S. 99 Nail Cleansing Solution. This will allow you to create a sharp, crisp line.
Step 9
Shake OPI GelColor Alpine Snow for a minute to thoroughly mix. Wipe excess from the stem and brush when removing from the bottle.
Step 10
Apply a thin coat of OPI GelColor Alpine Snow to the tip of the nail in an arched smile line.
Step 11
With the tips still uncured, clean up the smile line using a clean-up brush dampened with N.A.S. 99 Nail Cleansing Solution.
Step 12
Repeat the same steps on all nails and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 13
Shake OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat for a minute to thoroughly mix. Wipe excess from the stem and brush.
Step 14
Apply a very thin coat to the nail leaving a tiny margin around the cuticle. Cap the free edges to seal in color.
Step 15
Cure entire hand for 30 seconds in the OPI STAR LIGHT Gel Lamp.
Step 16
Remove the tacky layer with a Nail Wipe saturated with N.A.S. 99 Nail Cleansing Solution. Pro Tip: treat those dry cuticles with a drop of ProSpa Nail & Cuticle Oil and gently massage in.
