    How to Apply Magnet Effect Gel Nail Polish

    Step by Step

    1. Step 1

      First thing's first, follow OPI’s GelColor prep guidelines and steps. Chat with your client about their nail type and lifestyle to pick Stay Classic or Stay Strong.

    2. Step 2

      Apply a coat of Stay Classic or Stay Strong Base Coat. Cure for 30 seconds. Apply a coat of Teal Trance. Do not cure. Pro Tip: when applying OPI GelColor Velvet Vision shades, cap the free edge first to avoid messing with how the magnetic pigments lay.

    3. Step 3

      Hold the magnet on corner 1 of the nail then move to corner 2, 3, and 4. Avoid getting too close to the gel since it's not cured. Once desired effect is achieved, cure for 30 seconds.

    4. Step 4

      Apply another coat of Teal Trance for coverage and repeat step 3.

    5. Step 5

      Apply a coat of OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat and cure for 30 seconds. Clean nails with an Expert Touch Nail Wipe saturated in N.A.S 99 Nail Cleansing Solution. Apply OPI ProSpa Nail & Cuticle Oil and massage in.
