OPI Drinks: Southern Sweet Tea

The warming weather is a clear sign of one thing - it's sweet tea season! Inspired by our freinds in the South–especially in the city of New Orleans– we're planning to make sweet tea our go-to beverage this spring.

To help, we're serving up a delicious sweet tea recipe that will transform you into the talk of the town. So, go on, layer on a few coats of OPI's Humidi-Tea and invite the ladies over for a fun afternoon in the sun. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sips & Tips Sweet Southern Tea

 

 

You'll Need:

  • 2 cups water
  • 6 tea bags
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ice

Directions:

  • Boil 2 cups of water
  • In a large glass measuring cup, place 6 tea bags and add 1/8 tsp of baking soda
  • Pour the boiling water over the tea bags
  • Cover and steep for 15 minutes
  • Pour the tea mixture into a 2-quart pitcher and add the 2 cups of sugar
  • Stir until the sugar is dissolved
  • Add 6 cups of cold water
  • Let cool
  • Serve over ice
