    Powder Perfection is a Professional’s best friend, but creating nail art with it requires a different set of steps and preparation treatment. That’s why we’ve broken down the different systems that can be used in nail art, and have written a detailed tutorial on how to create them using Powder Perfection. Read these steps below, and you’ll be making nail art using Powder Perfection that would make even Picasso put down the paintbrush and pick up polish.

    1. OPI Powder Perfection Nail Art Look Raw Glitter Step 1

      Create your own show-stopping Powder Perfection manicure by mixing raw glitter (found at your cosmetic store) and Clear Color Set Powder. Before you begin, make sure that you follow the Powder Perfection nail prep step-by-step tutorial.

      Step 1: Create your Clear Set Glitter Mixture by mixing 1-part Raw Glitter and 3 parts Clear Color Set Powder.

      Step 2: Brush on one coat of Base Coat to a single nail making sure to cover the entire surface of the nail evenly.

      Step 3: Immediately, dip the finger into the Clear Set Glitter Mixture at a 45º angle and tap off the excess powder. Repeat on remaining fingers. Complete one nail at a time.

      Step 4: With a sanitized cosmetic brush to dust off the remaining loose powder from each finger.

      Pro tip: Focus around the cuticle area, sidewalls and don’t forget under the free edge.

    2. OPI Powder Perfection Nail Art Look Raw Glitter

      Step 5: Apply a second coat of Base Coat and Clear Set Glitter Mixture to each nail by repeating STEPS 2-4. Remove excess powder.

      Step 6: Brush on one even coat of Base Coat and dip into Clear Color Set Powder at a 45º angle. Tap off the excess powder and dust off any remaining powder.

      Step 7: Apply one generous coat of Activator making sure to cover the entire surface of the nail. Cap the free edge to fully seal in the powder. Wait 1-2 minutes for the nails to harden.

      Step 8: Shape and contour the nails with a 180 Grit File. When contouring, focus around the cuticle area and sidewalls to prevent a bulky looking enhancement. Buff the nail surface with a 180 Grit Buffer and continue to smooth with a 220 Grit Buffer. Remove excess filing dust.

Not waiting for the activator to fully dry will cause your Top Coat brush to harden. Evenly apply one coat of Top Coat using 2-3 quick brush strokes. Wait 1-2 minutes to dry. Using 2-3 brush strokes, apply a second coat of Top Coat, this time with precision. Wait 1-2 minutes to dry.
      Pro tip: Overworking the product or applying too much product will result in a matte finish.

      Step 10: Once dry, drop ProSpa Cuticle Oil and massage into cuticles.

    4. OPI Powder Perfection Nail Art Look Marble Nails

      Marble nail art can be done in Nail Lacquer, GelColor and now in Powder Perfection too! Offer your clients this easy to apply the technique with this protective overlay service.

      Before you begin, make sure that you follow the Powder Perfection nail prep step-by-step tutorial.

      Step 1: Brush on one coat of Base Coat to a single nail making sure to cover the entire surface of the nail evenly.

      Step 2: Using an acrylic brush tap Color Powder Black Onyx over two areas of the nail of your choosing. Quickly tap Color Powder Funny Bunny over the empty parts of the nail. Repeat for coverage then tap to remove excess powder. Complete one nail at a time.

      Step 3: With a sanitized cosmetic brush, dust off any remaining loose powder from each finger.

      Step 4: Apply a second coat of Base Coat and repeat the marble tapping technique on each nail by repeating STEPS 1-3. Remove excess powder.

      Step 1: Brush on one coat of Base Coat to a single nail making sure to cover the entire surface of the nail evenly.

      Step 2: Create a smile line by dipping the tip of the nail into Color Powder Two-Timing the Zones at a 45º angle. First dip the sides then the center of the nail, immediately dip the entire nail into Color Powder Stop It I’m Blushing. Tap off the excess powder. Repeat on remaining fingers. Complete one nail at a time.
