Introducing the Malibu Collection
Malibu is an enclave of inspiration–with whirring flowers on seaside cliffs and strawberry sunsets that bring in the tide, its vibrant hues create a rhythm that fills us with joy. So as we continue celebrating our 40th anniversary where it all began–LA–we’re sharing this hidden gem in hopes it will inspire you as much as it has us.
Introducing the Malibu Collection, 12 limited edition shades that embody this iconic coastal paradise. Bold, saturated hues and unexpected neutrals create a vibration we had to explore, so to help bring this to life, we ventured to the brim of LA with Selena Sloan, a singer, songwriter, and all-around colorful soul who sang her praises for this dreamy palette.
Strawberry Waves Forever
We knew we wanted our hero shade to be something special, so when we set out to create it, we not only drew inspiration from Malibu but all the shades we’ve created over the last 40 years. OPI favorite Strawberry Margarita caught our eye immediately with its hot hot pink hue, so as a tribute to our 40th anniversary, we gave it an updated twist. Meet Strawberry Waves Forever: a vibrant fuschia with holographic shimmer that will be music to your nails.
Seaside Neutrals
From sparkling sandy dunes to breathtaking caves, we bottled up the neutral hues of the coast in three gorgeous nudes–From Dusk ‘Til Dune is an effortless wash of white with a wave of sparkling blue shimmer, Coastal Sand-tuary channels the calming nature of the coast with a gentle off-white crème hue, and El Matador-ing You is a pink-y nude inspired by the most stunning rocky beaches you’ll ever lay eyes on.
The Sound of Summer
For those moments we’re cruising PCH and singing our hearts out, we created Cliffside Karaoke, a deep brown crème that captures Malibu’s sweeping views, Endless Sun-ner, a perfect sunkissed bronze, and Bonfire Serenade, a muted brown that embodies the fireside guitar strums Selena filled our ears with.
Mali-Bright
Malibu is beaming with mood-boosting hues, so we created super bold, saturated tones you can mix and match all summer long. Marigolden Hour is a warm golden yellow that will make you glow, Pear-adise Cove is a vibrant chartreuse that pear-s perfectly with any neutral, and Mali-blue Shore is an unrestrained shade of blue that looks and sounds like a splash on your fingertips.
